Geneviève Boily-Larouche is the Managing Director of the AMR Policy Accelerator. In her role, she draws upon her significant expertise in global health research and policy to provide strategic leadership to the team, while overseeing critical policy advisory projects and day-to-day activities of the Accelerator.
Geneviève has over 15 years of experience in academic research, knowledge mobilization, science and public health policies, and evaluation of programs and policies. She has extensive international experience having worked with several countries including Colombia, Benin, Kenya, South Africa, Philippines, and India. Geneviève is passionate about global health with specific expertise in infectious diseases, women’s health, and pandemic response.
Prior to joining GSL, Geneviève worked as an independent consultant, and held senior and leadership positions with the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, managing high-performing teams and advising senior government officials on strategy in public health, science funding and policymaking in Canada.
Geneviève holds a Ph.D. in Virology & Immunology from the University of Montreal and a PG Certificate in Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has published 21 peer-reviewed articles, 1 book chapter and a commentary in recognized scientific journals.
