UN Publishes Research Roadmap for the COVID-19 Recovery Led by Steven J. Hoffman

UN Title card of Research Roadmap

On November 17, the United Nations published its Research Roadmap for the COVID-19 Recovery. The effort was lead by GSL Director Steven Hoffman in his capacity as the Scientific Director for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research’s Institute of Population and Public Health (CIHR-IPPH).

The Roadmap outlines 25 research priorities for recovery and will help answer a singularly important question: How can COVID-19 socio-economic recovery efforts be purposefully designed to stimulate equity, resilience, sustainability & progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It also provides an overview of five science strategies for a better recovery, as well as actions that researchers, research funding agencies, governments, civil society organizations and UN entities can take to act upon it.

The whole team at GSL would like to congratulate Steven and our colleagues and office mates at CIHR-IPPH on this monumental effort!
