On September 22, GSL Director Steven Hoffman was among the 76 new fellows elected to the Canadian Academy Health Sciences. Election to fellowship in the academy is considered one of the highest honours for individuals in the Canadian health sciences community. It carries with it a covenant to serve the academy and the future well-being of the health sciences irrespective of the Fellow’s specific discipline.

Steven Hoffman’s world-leading authority on global health law and the global governance of health threats and his leadership at GSL, CIHR-IPPH, Global Health Law Consortium and many other places make him not just a worthy, but an ideal candidate for the fellowship.

The whole GSL team would like to congratulate Steven on this great honour!
