PANEL 1: AMR Policy Leadership and Innovation
Growing antimicrobial resistance presents a significant challenge to human health, food security, the environment and the global economy. Addressing this challenge requires collective, global, and multisectoral action informed by effective, evidence-based research and policy advice at a national and global level.
On November 21, 2022 this One Health expert panel met to discuss existing AMR challenges and new positive innovations. This webinar also introduced the AMR Policy Accelerator, a Wellcome-funded initiative designed to comprehensively support equitable, evidence-informed policymaking on antimicrobial resistance at the national and global level.

PANEL 2: Importance of Equity in AMR Policymaking
Antimicrobial resistance is one of the greatest threats humanity faces today. Not only does AMR contribute to millions of deaths annually worldwide, it also exacerbates existing inequities in society as vulnerable populations are at an increased risk of drug-resistant infections.
On November 24th, 2022 researchers and analysts from the AMR Policy Accelerator presented on the importance of approaching AMR Policy from a gender and equity-informed perspective. They introduced new research and answered questions from the audience.
