Dr. Lauren J. Wallace is a medical anthropologist and public health specialist with expertise in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), health policy, and systems research. Her work focuses on health security, priority setting, multisectoral collaboration, and gender-transformative approaches to health systems.
Her research has primarily centered on health policy in West Africa, where she previously served as a Senior Researcher at the Dodowa Health Research Centre and a Researcher at the University of Ghana’s School of Public Health. She has led and collaborated on projects funded by CIHR, IDRC, and FCDO and was a CIHR Vanier Scholar.
Dr. Wallace holds a PhD in the Anthropology of Health from McMaster University and a B.A.S. in Arts and Sciences from the University of Guelph. She completed postdoctoral training at McMaster University and the University of Ghana.
