Julia Bishop is the Director of Strategy and Partnerships for the Policy Team, where she focuses on strategic planning and decision-making, operations, and building meaningful partnerships. Julia’s background is in international and human rights law; she holds a JD from Queen’s University and an LLM from the University of Cape Town.
Julia has substantial experience in strategic leadership and in setting up and running programs that focus on maternal, child and adolescent health in sub-Saharan Africa, where she lived and worked for the past decade. She is passionate about working towards ensuring good health and well-being for all.
Julia volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors of the South African non-profit she used to lead, One to One Africa. In her spare time, Julia enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, traveling, reading non-fiction books, cooking, and listening to current affairs podcasts.
