Julia Bishop is the Director of Global Engagement for the Policy Team, where she leads the Policy Translation and Capacity Strengthening streams. Julia’s work focuses on strategic planning and decision-making, building meaningful partnerships, and amplifying the impact of our work through engagement with stakeholders around the world. Julia’s background is in international and human rights law; she holds a JD from Queen’s University and an LLM from the University of Cape Town.
Julia has substantial experience in strategic leadership and in setting up and running programs that focus on maternal, child and adolescent health in sub-Saharan Africa, where she lived and worked for the past decade. She is passionate about finding equitable solutions to global health challenges.
In her spare time, Julia enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, traveling, reading non-fiction books, cooking, and listening to current affairs podcasts.
