On April 28, GSL Investigator Tina Nanyangwe-Moyo presented a poster at the Canadian Public Health Association Conference (CPHA 2025). The poster summarizes findings from the Global Strategy Lab’s upcoming study examining gender differences in cigarette smoking intensity across 172 countries. The forthcoming research is co-authored by Tina Nanyangwe-Moyo, Mehedi Hasan Rasel, Steven J. Hoffman, and Mathieu Poirier. Despite progress in global tobacco control, gender
differences in cigarette smoking persist globally. The Global Strategy Lab is expanding its research in this area to examine the gendered impacts of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) on global cigarette consumption trends.
