Mehedi Hasan Rasel

Data Analyst

Mehedi is a Data Analyst at the Global Strategy Lab and contributes to the Global Legal
Epidemiology research stream. With a focus on health economics and health policy, he spearheads research initiatives aimed at enhancing population health and economic well-being through data-driven insights. Mehedi employs theories and statistical methods, along with econometric models, to dissect both aggregated data and disaggregated/microdata. He utilizes advanced statistical programs such as SAS and Stata to unravel complex issues in an accessible manner.


Prior to joining GSL, Mehedi worked as a Research Associate at the Canadian Council for Youth Prosperity after completing his Master’s in Economics from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Before that, he worked on equity-focused health-related research projects in Bangladesh after graduating with both Honours Bachelor’s and Master’s in Health Economics from the University of Dhaka.
