On March 17, GSL Director Steven Hoffman appeared on 980 CFPL’s The Craig Needles Show to discuss the recent measures taken by the provincial and federal governments in response to a possible community transmission of COVID-19 in Canada.
In the interview, Hoffman praised how measured the government’s response has been and that these heightened measures now are occurring at the right time as the evidence in Canada is changing. He also discussed the travel ban announced by the Prime Minister on March 16, saying that allowing the US border to remain open is important so that the flow of goods across the border isn’t impeded.
