On September 12, GSL Director Steven Hoffman appeared 105.9’s The Feed with Ann Rohmer to discuss a possible second wave of COVID-19 cases in Canada.

In the interview, Hoffman argued that a second wave in the fall and winter of 2020/2021 is probable. Following social distancing and other prescribed countermeasures such as mask-wearing could prevent a wave from either significantly substantiating, but moreover mitigating its severity should it hit communities later in the year. Hoffman also warned that stricter regulations could be reintroduced if Canada sees a rise in cases.
