Patrick highlighted the meeting’s focus on artificial intelligence, as Canada prepares for its G7 presidency in 2025. Fafard also addressed the contentious Canada-EU trade agreement, noting farmer protests in France and declining public support for free trade. With both Trudeau and Macron facing political challenges, they aim to learn from each other to maintain leadership on the global stage.
