New Publication: Analyzing antimicrobial resistance as a series of collective action problems

“Analyzing antimicrobial resistance as a series of collective action problems” explores how antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a global health threat causing over 1.27 million deaths annually, presents at least nine distinct collective action problems.

This publication, led by GSL Investigator Isaac Weldon, alongside Steven J. Hoffman, A. M. Viens, Kathleen Liddell, Susan Rogers Van Katwyk, Timo Minssen, Kevin Outterson, Stephanie Palmer, and Jorge Viñuales, builds on Elinor Ostrom’s ideas. It emphasizes the need for tailored strategies to address the unique challenges posed by AMR, including global access to antimicrobials, innovation in new drugs, and surveillance systems.
