The 2023 Insight Development Grants competition has awarded $35.3 million in funding for 577 research projects at 66 Canadian institutions. Over $1.5 million in Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council’s Insight Development Grants has been allocated to two dozen projects led by York University researchers. The grants support the development of short-term research projects of up to two years by emerging and established scholars.
Among the recipients of these grants are Global Strategy Lab Co-Director Mathieu Poirier, Director Steven Hoffman, and Investigator Tina Nanyangwe-Moyo, for their project on Centring Gender in the Evaluation of International Laws.
