GSL Director featured in Dutch News Broadcast on the Global Distribution of COVID-19 Vaccines

On February 9, GSL Director Steven Hoffman was interviewed by the Dutch television news broadcast Nieuwsuur on the topic of unequal COVID-19 vaccine distribution around the globe.

In the interview, Hoffman discussed vaccine nationalism, and that the fact that wealthy countries buy way more COVID-vaccine doses than they require, is limiting the orderly distribution of vaccines to low- and middle-income countries through the COVAX facility.

Watch the segment on the right. While most of the clip is in Dutch, Hoffman’s segment starts at 5.10 mins.
