On April 24th and 25th, 2023, the Global Strategy Lab (GSL) convened international antimicrobial resistance (AMR) policy and research experts to discuss and respond on three critical areas of research at GSL’s AMR Policy Accelerator.
The three research areas examined were:
- Opportunities for accelerated progress on addressing AMR and SDG priorities
- Strengthening gender analysis in One Health AMR policy
- Governance models to foster One Health collaboration on AMR
The workshop allowed participants from various One Health sectors the opportunity to engage on early-stage proposals which will be further developed into policy research and practical guidance for international organizations, national governments and civil society organizations.
This multi-sector and multidisciplinary approach on tackling complex AMR policy issues is a key feature of the Wellcome-funded AMR Policy Accelerator.
