Kritnaaz Kaur Arora is a Biomedical Sciences student at York University with a strong interest in the intersection of global health, scientific research, and public policy. Over the past eight months at the Global Strategy Lab, she has contributed to interdisciplinary research projects focused on understanding global cigarette consumption patterns and examining how social, economic, and demographic factors influence smoking trends across genders in different regions of the world. She will continue this work through the summer as a RAY student.
Previously, Kritnaaz gained laboratory research experience with the Inzymes group, where she investigated the impact of anaerobic digestive sludge on microplastics under various pre-treatment conditions. These experiences have strengthened her analytical and research skills while reinforcing her passion for using evidence-based research to address global health challenges and drive meaningful impact.
