On April 8, GSL Director Steven Hoffman participated in the Usher Institute at Edinburgh University’s COVID-19 Webinar series and taught a lecture on Canada’s response to the global pandemic.
In his lecture, Hoffman recapped the measures implemented by the Canadian Government and research institutions to combat COVID-19. He further put a big emphasis on life after the outbreak has slowed down and appealed to everyone to keep human rights in mind when crafting pandemic countermeasures, and to keep funding public health after COVID-19.
