On April 14, GSL Director Steven Hoffman was quoted in an article by the Canadian Press on the possibility of easing COVID-19 restrictions in Canada in the near future. The news agency piece was later picked up by a number of media organizations including the National Post.

In the article, Hoffman explained that if there was an instant COVID-19 test which border officials could administer to any interested party wanting to enter Canada, that could reverse the government’s decision to keep the borders closed.

He further commented, that even if the government eases this and other restrictions, we should all be prepared for them to be enforced again should the data change.
