Shajoe Lake

International Legal Advisor


Shajoe serves as the AMR Policy Accelerator’s in-house expert on public international law and policy. This includes conducting research and analysis to support the design and implementation of international laws and policies relating to the One Health approach for governing infectious diseases, including AMR. Shajoe is also a Bloomberg Philanthropies’ & Vital Strategies Healthy Food Policy Fellow, working with the Global Center for Legal Innovation in Food Environments at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Georgetown University where he conducts legal research and analysis to support the design and implementation of healthy food policies in Latin America and the Caribbean

Previously, Shajoe worked in international consulting at Crawford & Company, negotiating personal injury awards and advising U.S., U.K. and Caribbean insurers on product liability, employer’s liability, and public liability claims, including workplace OHSA and manufacturers’ negligence. Shajoe is called to the Jamaican Bar and eligible to practice in 15 CARICOM Countries.
